your loved pet and give you the best tips for their ongoing pet care.
Dr. Chris Bryant - Owner / Veterinarian
I started with a biology degree from the University of Kentucky (Go Cats!) then graduated from Auburn University with my veterinary degree in 1997. I took over Cherokee Animal Hospital in 2006 and have been very busy ever since! I am married to a very patient man, have two wonderful children and a house full of animals. Being a veterinarian is all I ever considered doing. I feel very lucky that I get to do what I love every day, and am surrounded by truly fabulous people both at home and at work!
Dr. Katherine Pepper - Veterinarian
I have been with Cherokee Animal Hospital for several years now. I am a hometown girl who grew up in Canton. I got my start in veterinary medicine at the age of 14, cleaning kennels here at CAH for Dr. Ivy Lidstone. I received my doctorate from the University of Georgia in 2007. I live with my husband, our daughter, and our three pets. We have a wire haired Jack Russell Terrier named Shelby, who likes camping and hiking with us. Denali is our black and white tuxedo cat that I adopted on the first day at my first job as a veterinarian. About 6 months later, I adopted Bonzai, a black cat with extra toes. I like developing lasting relationships with my clients through the care of their pets.
Dr. Allyson Jenkins - Veterinarian
I got my start at Cherokee Animal Hospital several years ago, working as a technician over my summer breaks from college. After finishing my undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia, I went on to obtain my veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota. It was a cold four years for this Georgia girl! I am very excited to be working at CAH again, this time as a veterinarian. At home, I am surrounded by my husband and our three furry babies- LuLu, the yellow lab, and our two cats, Molly and C.J. I am looking forward to meeting all of the wonderful patients and their owners.
Kelly Furlong - Nurse / Technician
I am a mother to three wonderfully energetic and spunky children and a beautiful step- daughter. I have several fur-babies…a lab mix, Great Pyrenees, elderly kitty, a kitten (who were all rescues) and an amazing Rocky Mountain horse. There is never a dull moment in my household! I truly believe my purpose in this life is to help heal the innocent and voiceless emotionally and physically in any way I am able. I have always worked in a field either helping animals or people whether it be working in a 911/police dispatch center, a horse ranch or in the veterinary field. I am a volunteer at the Healing Hands Youth Ranch where I mentor children with the aid of horses who are emotionally troubled. It’s incredibly inspiring to see the children’s spirits’ come back alive after working with the horses. I absolutely love my Cherokee Animal Hospital family, patients and clients!
Stephanie Hastings - Nurse / Technician
My name is Stefanie. I was born in Orlando, Florida and moved to Cumming, Georgia. I now live in Canton. I live with my 3 dogs, my pit bulls Hemi and Nova, and my Rottweiler Mila. I have been with Cherokee Animal Hospital since April of 2015. I love the people I work with and I couldn’t ask for better doctors to work beside. This is what I love to do and I plan on doing this for as long as my body will let me!
Darian VanBloom - Receptionist
My name is Darian and I am 20 years old, born and raised in Canton Georgia. I was welcomed into the Cherokee Animal Hospital Family about 1 month ago. Dr. Bryant and the Crew welcomed me into their loving family with open arms. I am a big dog lover and have two at home. One of my favorite hobbies is taking my 2 puppy dogs on hikes. One of the many joys that I have is being able to watch the sick become stronger, and watching the healthy stay happy.
Adam Whaling - Nurse / Technician
I got my start in working with animals at the Cherokee County Animal Shelter but have been with Cherokee Animal Hospital for several years. I enjoy all the animals but, have a soft spot for cats and kittens and have two of my own at home. One of my favorite parts of the job is working in surgery. One of the hardest parts is working with a clinic full of women…but I suffer through.
Mallory Dagosta - Nurse / Technician
My name is Mallory! I’ve been with the CAH family since 2013. I’m originally from Omaha, Nebraska but Georgia has become a second home to me. I currently live in Canton with my fiancé, Ben, and our zoo of fur-kids. We have two cats; Maggie Moo and Dean. We also have a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix named Rosko and a Chigi named Harley. Not to forget, we also have a puffer fish AND a rex rabbit named Bailey. I love to have lots of fun around here and it seems I always have a smile on my face! I have a never-ending love for animals of all kinds and I love that it is my job to speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves.
AJ - Nurse / Technician
My name is AJ. I have been with Cherokee Animal Hospital since July of 2016. I was raised here in Canton, GA. I love all types of animals but have a soft spot for dogs and cats, especially my own dog at home. Working at Cherokee Animal Hospital has been such an amazing experience and opportunity for me and I look forward to the years ahead.
Mackensi - Hospital Manager
Hi! I am a Georgia girl born and bred. I have been in the Canton area for several years and I have worked at CAH since 2010. I have a house full of four-legged creatures. There are so many reasons why I love my job. I truly get so much joy, not only from building a relationship with our patients, but building a relationship with their owners as well. With that said, I hope to meet you soon.
Hannah - Nurse / Technician
My name is Hannah, I am twenty years old, and I started working at Cherokee Animal Hospital in May 2016. I also have a kitten named Bagheera who brightens up my home. I love working with animals and learning new things every day. I am also currently going to school at Kennesaw State University and pursuing a degree in nursing. One of my passions is seeing animals and people alike overcome obstacles like sickness and injury, so being able to be part of the team at Cherokee Animal Hospital is a privilege in so many ways!
