How Cherokee Animal Hospital gets things done during COVID 19 …We are seeing patients!
Please call to schedule appointments:
Beginning May 1st, 2021, Cherokee Animal Hospital will be inviting clients back into our animal hospital on a limited basis.
We will limit exam room visits to 2 people for each appointment and will ask owners to continue to wear masks in the building as we do have a few employees with health concerns. Both the number of appointments and the specific doctors available for exam room visits are limited each day which may impact the day and doctor you see if you prefer to come inside.
We will continue to offer curbside services to accommodate the high demand for appointments, any clients with their own health concerns, and those who simply enjoy this curbside model of veterinary service. As always, curbside visits will continue to have face-to-face time with doctors who will visit you at your car to discuss your pet’s care.
There are some exceptions made for end-of-life care and other special circumstances which are determined on a case-by-case basis.
For ALL visits to the clinic, please remain in your car and give us a call.
We will let you know when the lobby is clear or we will collect your pet from you for curbside services or bring medications/food to you.
Again thanks to all our amazing clients and we look forward to our gradual return to normal.
For those that choose curbside, we ask you to download the PetDesk app to your phone.
This app has many benefits but most importantly will allow a super quick and easy face-to-face discussion between you and the doctor to collect vital history and other important information. You can also see your pet’s medications, vaccines, and lab results on the app as well as request appointments and medication refills. We can even text through the app if your pet is with us in the hospital.
We will collect your pet’s history and symptoms on the phone then a nurse will collect your pet from you. We will use our leash, please keep yours. All cats MUST be in a carrier. We are happy to lend you one if needed.
Lastly, the receptionists will take payment information over the phone as well and a nurse will return your pet to your car.
We will also bring any food or medications to your car.
We are running on smaller staff numbers, so we strongly recommend you call before you come as well so the medications are ready to go. Please be patient with us as this process is slowing us down a bit and waiting in your car can feel like it takes FOREVER! We will get you on your way as fast as we can.
To speed things up you can download and fill out our history and permission forms & then email them back to us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
