Dr. Chris Bryant – Owner
Dr. Bryant obtained her biology degree from the University of Kentucky (Go Cats!) then graduated from Auburn University with her veterinary degree and has been in practice for over 25 years. She has been the proud owner of Cherokee Animal Hospital and has continued to be an instrumental part of the community in Canton for the past 16 years.
As the practice owner, she has successfully built a team that shares the same core values that she feels so strongly and passionately about with our patients and our clients. Dr. Bryant has enjoyed building long-term relationships with her clients and is honored to care for their pets throughout their life.
She strives to give the best possible care to each pet whether it is preventative care to keep your pets healthy or helping your senior pets help live long comfortable lives. Dr. Bryant is passionate about creating an environment that allows a positive and calm experience for each pet and their owners and always treating everyone with kindness, compassion, and respect.
Dr. Bryant married her college sweetheart, they have two wonderful children and a house full of animals. Her latest addition is a very active handsome young mixed breed boy named, George. When Dr. Bryant is not working, you’ll find her spending time with her very patient husband and two beautiful grown kids. They love being outdoors, walking with George, traveling together or having fun on family game night.

Dr. Jedidiah Green – Owner / Veterinarian
Dr. Green joined our Cherokee Animal Hospital Family in the fall of 2021, bringing over 19 years of experience practicing veterinary medicine. Dr. Green grew up on a small farm in Waleska, Ga, and developed a passion for animals since his childhood.
After graduating from Cherokee High School, he attended Berry College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science and a minor in Chemistry. From there, he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.
Dr. Green enjoys the challenges of internal medicine, dermatology, and dentistry. He has a particular interest in surgery, with advanced training in orthopedic surgery and ultrasound.Dr. Green is a proud native of Cherokee County; he is actively involved in the community through work with local food banks, children’s charities, and serves as a deacon in his church.
Outside the office, Dr. Green enjoys spending time fly fishing, camping, researching Cherokee County history, spending time with his wife and three wonderful children, and working on their family farm.Dr. Green is an incredible asset to our team. We look forward to what the future brings.

Dr. Allyson Jenkins – Veterinarian
Dr. Jenkins has been a part of our work family since 2015. She is a true Georgia native, and after finishing her undergrad degree at the University of Georgia, she went on to obtain her veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota.
After 4 very cold years, she returned home and began her career with Cherokee Animal Hospital.
Dr. Jenkins has special interests in cats, geriatric pets, surgery, and Internal medicine, specifically performing ultrasounds. She continues to excel in her craft and loves helping keep all of our patients happy and healthy.
Her caring and calm manner with pets and her desire to continue to build strong relationships with pet owners is a huge asset to our Cherokee Animal Hospital family.
In her spare time, Dr. Jenkins loves spending time having fun outdoors and spending quality time with her son, two dogs, and cat.

Dr. Alexa DeLeva – Veterinarian
Dr. DeLeva joined us in early 2021 as one of our associate veterinarians. During college, she started working at a local animal hospital in Marietta, GA, and felt certain she was destined to become a doctor.
She attended Georgia College for her undergrad degree and went on to obtain her Veterinary degree at LSU where she graduated with honors.Her areas of interest are ophthalmology and dermatology.
Dr. DeLeva has felt truly honored getting to know all of our clients and their beloved pets.
When she’s not working, she loves to spend time with her family and her newest addition she adopted at a local rescue group, a handsome mixed-breed boy named Zuko. She also loves watching movies and playing co-ed soccer in a local league.
Dr. DeLeva has been a wonderful addition to the Cherokee Animal Hospital family and we look forward to many years growing together.

Dr. Anne Marie Pollard – Veterinarian
Dr. Pollard has over 15 years of experience in small animal medicine. Dr. Pollard graduated from the University of Georgia in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Science and in 2010 she graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, Go DAWGS!
Dr. Anne Marie Pollard was raised on a working dairy farm in central NY, this started her love of animals and she knew at the age of 9 she wanted to be a veterinarian, this dream never wavered. Her areas of interest are internal medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology, nutrition and dentistry.
In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading, running, rooting for the Georgia Bulldogs and spending time with her husband of 20 years, 14 year old daughter and twin 11 year old boys. She loves cuddling with her 3 cats (Chiaro, Luce and Juno), Boston terrier Ari, Pug puppy Apollo and Mixed breed Sylvi, all rescue pups.
Her favorite thing about veterinary medicine is the many relationships she has formed over the years with her patients, clients, staff members and colleagues. Dr. Pollard is excited to provide the best medicine and care for your fur babies and building lasting relationships with owners as she serves the community.

Jacob Taylor – Lead Vet Technician
Jacob Taylor is one of our experienced Lead Nurses. He has been providing compassionate and skilled care to our patients for over five years. He is dedicated to improving the lives of animals and fostering strong relationships with pet owners to ensure the best possible care.
Jacob is a native of Georgia and had dreams of working in veterinary medicine at a very young age. Although he quickly fell into the fast track in professional management after college, he never forgot his passion and love of medicine or animals. In 2020 Jacob decided to take a leap and join the Cherokee Animal Hospital team and has never looked back.
Jacob continues to expand his medical knowledge and technical skills at every opportunity. He loves assisting in surgery, taking care of hospitalized patients and emergency medicine. He even has aspirations to one day volunteer to veterinary organizations for wellness clinics in other countries.
When Jacob is not working with your beloved pets, he loves spending time with his beautiful wife and 5 fur babies, Daisey, Athena, Strider, Lady Bell and Arwen. Jacob also is a skilled PC gamer and has played Dungeons and Dragons for over 20 years.

Clare Starling – Lead Nurse
Clare Starling is one of our Lead Nurses with the specific role of being the clinic coordinator or as we like to call her our “Traffic Cop”. With over 9 years of experience in veterinary medicine, her primary focus is improving client, patient and staff satisfaction. She is dedicated to ensuring the best care for your furry family members. Her area of interests is internal medicine cases and diagnostic work ups, including ultrasound, radiographs and bloodwork. With Clare’s ability to direct and guide staff through the day-to-day tasks has been a huge benefit to Cherokee Animal Hospital as we continue to grow and expand our beloved clinic.
Clare and her husband of 29 years, grew up in High Wycombe a town in England. They moved to the United States in 2015 and found their home away from home in the south east. Currently she and her husband have settled in the Canton area, with their very handsome ginger cat Arthur, a very good-looking Portuguese Podengo doggy Sir Humprey and their beautiful Galgo Espanol Queen Rosemary.
When Clare is away from her job as director extraordinaire, she gives back to the community by sewing burial gowns for premature babies from donated wedding gowns. Clare also loves archery and spending time with her husband and fur babies and aspires to be a professional; stay at home dog mom when she retires!

Aimee Rhodes – Lead Technician
Aimee Rhodes is one of our lead technicians with a specialized role in our surgical and anesthesia unit and has been instrumental in maintaining our surgery work flow. She insures the highest standards of care for all of our animal patients. With over 35 years of experience in Veterinary Medicine, she brings her knowledge in many areas including emergency medicine, surgical specialty, hospice care, laboratory medicine and general practice.
Aimee is a Georgia native, growing up in the Marietta area. She attended Kennesaw State University studying health and science. She obtained her RVT license in 2004 and has continued dedicating her time educating herself and sharing her knowledge with the Cherokee Animal Hospital team. Aimee also started a non-profit inner city outreach program and rescue group called Pitties in the City Outreach for over 7 years. In her free time Aimee is a true “Country Girl” and loves all things outdoors, boating on the lake, off roading and gardening. Her most favorite of all is spending time on her glorious farm and beautiful garden with her amazing husband, son, daughter in law, 2 grandchildren, 2 horses, 7 goats, 5 cats and their handsome pit bull named Gunner. One day she aspires to have her own business selling her organic produce at local farmers markets.

Lena McClatchie – Practice Manager
Lena McClatchie has worked in the Veterinary community for over 34 years. She started her career in 1988 at a local day practice in Marietta, GA, and quickly moved on to specialty practices, including Internal Medicine, and ultimately found a home in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine for over 22 years.
Her love of animals and passion for medicine inspired her to continue to branch out and start her own consulting business to teach and share her knowledge with other technicians and veterinarians in the southeast.
Lena met Dr. Bryant in 2007 when looking for an Animal Hospital in the Canton area for her parents’ family pets. From there a wonderful working relationship began between the two of them.
After 13 years of working as a consultant with Dr. Bryant, they finally decided to join forces and officially bring her on board as Practice Manager in early 2020.
Lena has enjoyed developing meaningful relationships with both clients and patients. She looks forward to being an instrumental part of the team and continuing to bring the level of care and medicine Cherokee Animal Hospital strives for.
When Lena is not using her Super Powers, she loves her family time with her amazing husband, beautiful daughter, 3 silly dogs, and 2 snuggly cats. She enjoys cooking healthy gourmet food, being outdoors, and curling up with a good book.

Samantha – Office Manager
Samantha Williams has been a huge part of the Cherokee Animal Hospital team for over 9 years. In recent years Samatha has moved into the role of Office Manager, where she plays key roles in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the practice. With over 20 years of experience in office administration and customer service, Samatha is dedicated to creating a welcoming and organized environment for both clients, their pets and staff.
In addition to her administrative expertise, Samantha is passionate about supporting the veterinary team in providing the highest level of care to patients. She works closely with the veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to maintain a cohesive and effective workflow, ensuring that both clients and pets receive the best possible experience.
Outside of work, Samatha enjoys spending with her family and 2 fur babies, Shadow and Teddy. She loves going on road trip adventures, watching college football and curling up with a good book.
