MEET THE VETERINARIANS
our veterinarians and veterinary assistants create a friendly, family oriented environment
Dr. Chris Bryant - Owner / Veterinarian
I started with a biology degree from the University of Kentucky (Go Cats!) then graduated from Auburn University with my veterinary degree in 1997. I took over Cherokee Animal Hospital in 2006 and have been very busy ever since! I am married to a very patient man, have two wonderful children and a house full of animals. Being a veterinarian is all I ever considered doing. I feel very lucky that I get to do what I love every day, and am surrounded by truly fabulous people both at home and at work!
Dr. Allyson Jenkins - Veterinarian
I got my start at Cherokee Animal Hospital several years ago, working as a technician over my summer breaks from college. After finishing my undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia, I went on to obtain my veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota. It was a cold four years for this Georgia girl! I have been at CAH for 5 years, and love working with all of our wonderful patients and their owners. When I'm not at work, I spend time with my young son, our little terrier and 2 kitties.
Dr. Katherine Pepper - Veterinarian
I have been with Cherokee Animal Hospital for several years now. I am a hometown girl who grew up in Canton. I got my start in veterinary medicine at the age of 14, cleaning kennels here at CAH for Dr. Ivy Lidstone. I received my doctorate from the University of Georgia in 2007. I live with my husband, our daughter, and our three pets. We have a wire haired Jack Russell Terrier named Shelby, who likes camping and hiking with us. Denali is our black and white tuxedo cat that I adopted on the first day at my first job as a veterinarian. About 6 months later, I adopted Bonzai, a black cat with extra toes. I like developing lasting relationships with my clients through the care of their pets.
Dr. Amanda Johnson - Veterinarian
I am from Montgomery, AL and received both my undergraduate and veterinary degree from Auburn University. I have been working in veterinary hospitals since I was in high school, and now I am excited to be a part of the a Cherokee Animal Hospital family! I currently reside with my husband in Roswell with our two large dogs, Holly and Pepper, and a fluffy cat, Pumpkin.
